Schwinn Mesa LTD:Good entry level bike? Good deal?

I can get the 2008 model for R5200, is this a good deal? And is it a good entry level mountain bike? I am totally new to this.

Is it a new bike or second hand.

It's new. My dad knows the owner of the cycling shop, very good service and it's very close to where I live, so unless it is a complete rip off I would prefer buying from him.

As I said phone around, if it is the yellow gry combo I think that is too much.  But that is just my perception.

 

If you want it buy it.  You are the one who is going to ride it.  And buy the sound of it you have already made up your mind.

 

Go ahead and buy it if you want it.  It is your money after all

Yep it is my money, hard earned money, hehe... I am a student and don't have money to waste. And I don't know enough about bikes to judge if it is a good deal or not. That is why I am asking the pro's... I have not fully made up my mind yet.

 

 

 

Luckily he said he'll bring the bike to my house later so I can test drive it.
