Oh crap, I forgot that Tiagra is 9spd. But you can still get a chain easily. Just ask for a 9 speed HG53 chain at your LBS.

I might be 9-speed but I will conquer the worldBig%20smile Is that a shimano chain?

Yes, it's a shimano. Or you can spend about R30 more and get the HG73. It's a few grams lighter and a bit shinier. But make sure it is 9spd.

And while you are at it, get some Sram powerlinks aswell. It's the golden ones.

Oh for goodness sake. Just go to a bike shop and ask for a 9-speed chain. Any brand will do. They will show you a variety, choose any one either according to your budget or sense of aesthetics. It doesn't matter.

Johan I know nothing about chains so I am using the internet as a research tool. Going to a bike shop with a little bit of knowledge always helps or you end up spending money on something that you don't need.

For a few $$$$ more you can even get a Shimano HG93 chain....... it is shiny and nice, but.......... it also can rust and yes you can use it with your Tiagra groupset.

Order one from Chris Willemse Cycles for R231.00 Look at the link at  http://www.cwcycles.co.za/shimano_xt_ultegra_9spd_chain.html
