Don't put your unclipped foot straight down. ie. put it a little away from the bike so that the bike leans over (the correct way). Confused

LOL!

That last tip is a good one.

Soon after getting my new cleats and being clipped for the first time - was all proud when I managed to come to a stop and effortlessly clip-out my right foot.

Plonked it down on the ground, but too close to the bike. Ended up going over in the opposite direction, and I couldn't get my left foot out since, (a) it happened too fast, and (b) the bike was supposed to be going to the right...

Live and learn...

Oh - if you're going to do the practice thing - try and take some time perfecting the art of getting both feet out at the same time... You'd be surprised at how that day might come when you find yourself mid-air, thinking: now would be a good time to get my feet loose....

Trust me - having one foot clipped in on the landing is usually not so good....Embarrassed
