A lady cyclist was knocked down this morning at the Circle at the top of Tokai road. She was hit by a guy driving a Black Citi Golf.

She was up and ok, walking back but a bit battered and bruised, her bike was not so fortunate and suffered a pretzeled rear wheel and snapped carbon seatstay. She is a relatively new rider apparently so it's a pity, gilrs are taking some abuse lately.

The driver had stopped and assisted her afterwards.

Time was about 6:50am.

Hope the bruises heal fast and that your'e back on the bike soon. Ouch

The driver stopped? Thats odd! But good. Hope he pays for her wheel. Did she get his details? Lay a charge.

At least she is okay.

Assuming that the driver was at fault. Glad the cyclist is OK.

Eish!

That's not great.

Glad she is up and OK again, but she will be sore later and tomorrow morning. Ouch

I ride through that circle often - scary how few motorists know how a traffic circle works...

Gotta be careful out there!

I didn't catch the whole conversation, but I think she knew the guy, he's a varsity student.

Looked half asleep to me.

I got the reg, but I think he should pay for the bike. She will need a new frame as well!

Hectic!  I rode there this morning and the road from the circle up to the Reddam School was really busy - first day back at school.

I rode there alone yesterday morning and still thought how nice and quiet it was and it was completely the opposite this morning.

The taxis all stop on the side of the road, and you are never quite 100% sure if they have seen you or not, coupled with the stream of cars from behind makes for some serious concentration!
