Advice - MTB sizes

Guys

I am a roadie and not sure how the MTB sizing works.

 

I have a 58cm road frame and am about 188cm.

 

What size MTB would be ideal for me?

L 19-21". Maybe you should be a bit patient next time. Varies with different frames though. You might find your attitude might not make you very suited to MTBing.

according to the sizing chart you are a size xl frame.

 

It depends on you riding style.

 

Aggressive riding = smaller frame, so you would be a L frame.

 

XC (not aggressive, endurance racing) = recommended size, XL frame

 

I am not a pro but this should give you an idea. If possible test ride before you buy. Good Luck with finding your  perfect MTB.

I ride a size 58 road bike and my last MTB I bought was a x/l. I am 186 cm tall and ride x/c. I previously had a Large MTB but never felt totally at ease on it even after my LBS set it up. Upgraded to an extra large and never looked back.
