I was driving up the road from the Hout Bay side at about that time and recall seeing a solo rider in some red kit (was that you carlo?) as I came round a left turning bend.  There was an oncomming car and I had to squeeze through between the two prompting my 12 year old son to ask "If you had to hit one of them which would you choose?"

 

Please people, choose your routes carefully.  Ride in groups.  And let me suggest that as cyclists we "Think Car" because sure as eggs, most car drivers are not thinking bike.

 

Unfortunately I did not see the bus in question...

No, wasn't me, I was in a blue cyclelab kit. I was ahead of that guy, I remember passing him just after the circle.

 

It's true what you're saying, but I am very careful, and ride as far as possible in the yellow line. But this fool came into the yellow line on a straight section of road, which is worrying.
