Tubeless Repair

Removing the valve core is easiest in my opinion but in some (most ghetto type conversions ...) it is not removable and in that case (yes I do have some of these) I do break the bead slightly and refill through the 'gap'. As long as you break the bead as little as possible floorpump infaltion is still possible.

BB is that with presta valves?

I have Stans strips with presta valves with removable cores.

I tried refilling by removing the valve core once, but struggled too much getting the sealant through the valve.

I now just break the bead slightly (away from the valve, since that is the most difficult area to seal) and refill through the gap.

Much easier and I have always been able to seat and seal the tyre again with a floor pump.

Soapy water does the trick if there is an initial problem with sealing.

ML yip with Presta's, I use the refill bottle that the Joe's kit comes with. Has that nozzle that fits nicely into the valve once the core is removed.

Ok, so I tried through the valve core and struggled. So I took it to Bowmans and watched the mechanic do it. He removed the tyre from the rim on one side, cleaned it, hung the wheel from some hooks and put the Stans in from the side. Said its less of a struggle than through the valve so I next time I'll try this.
