Keep that RC3000 for a while yet.  It is a darn good bike.  I think a person must be VERY good to ride a R35k bike or have A LOT of money.  R35k is nearly 4 times more expensive than a new RC3000 and you will not go 4 times faster or have a four times nicer ride.

If the weight of the Raleigh is bothering you just take a big crap before every ride and save thousands of rands.

Welcome rory21 .

This sport is amazing!!!

R35k for a raleigh.......NO WAYS.

What comes as a bargain is that it has a warranty.  Buying second hand' date=' you will not have a warranty on the bike.

But.....

For R35k you can get soooooo much more second hand.

I bought a VERY good bike a month ago for R15k......sure it was a bargain of the century, but you get those every once in a while.

My advice is to have a look at what you can get for your R20k second hand.........

Then save the rest R15k for "In case your frame cracks" as insurance.

ENJOY it.......buying a bike is 50% of the cycling experience!!!

A very good bike  SH*T spidey saying you bought the bargain of the century, is an understatement.......  never going to get that again.....  enjoy it or is someone else riding it  ........... The frame alone sells for double that
