I want to upgrade my MTB , Its a scott FX10. She weighs in at 16kgs atm. This is a list of parts on her atm.

Magura  lousie brakes

XT derailer front and back

LX crank

Rock shox psylo

rock shox back shock

 

the rest of the bike is all std scott .

What do i start with? Mony is a option so its going to be a long rebulid over time.Sleepy

i agree. Depends on what u want to do with the biek? XC , all mountain?? I upgraded to a set of Easton XC one wheels which are suopposed to be 30% stronger than other wheels and ended up buckling them in 2 months. Still i saved tons of weight on the bike just from the wheelset and tyres.

Wheels are a good way to reduce weight. Not cheap but worth it in the long run. A new front fork is also an option to loose about 200g, but also not cheap. Going ghetto tubeless now IS cheap and will save you weight instantly.
