I was in touch with a wheel builder last year but my email got hacked and so everything has been reset and wiped out, so lost those details. let me know if you know a wheelbuilder. Thanks

  11. I just recently upgraded to a 1x10 with a 32 ring up front and went 11/42 at the rear. The problem is my chain now keeps hopping off my chainring when speeding down bumpy hills.I'm assuming its because I did a conversion and dont have a roller bearing clutch rd. Will a chain catcher work to eliminate this problem?
  12. So just before my weekend ride my Shimano rear brake had no grip whatsoever. I was desperate and had no Shimano mineral oil to bleed into the system, so I grabbed a little shock oil in a syringe and opened the valve cap at the back, pumped a little oil in there until the brake lever felt a little fuller, the opened the reservoir by the lever and added drop by drop of the shock oil and pumped the lever until it felt like i had proper brakes again. I'm sure this oil is much thicker than the Shimano bleed oil, but it worked. Any coments on how this could be detrimental? My brakes worked great and even better after the ride and I rode some hairy stuff. Some thoughts would be great from you bike techy guys. Thanks
  13. And then more schoolkids can cycle to school on a scenic route. It's what we've all secretly wanted. More people on bicycles!!
  14. Time is money. You're paying fo time on the road!!
  15. Ok clever hubbers. I have some questions. What length should the chain be on a 1x10 setup? The reason I'm asking is that my rear derailleur gets pulled quite far forward and is under tension at the length that is recommended..( big cassette ring to chainring.) I also have installed an oval chainring. Doesnt the length depend on which part of the oval your chainring is on?? And lastly, with a longer B screw, the derailleur extends longer, but it still feels like its too short and if I look on the RD hanger, it looks as if it wants to slip off. Are RD hangers longer for 1x10 setups??? Something doesn't look right or feel right in this setup.

  23. Table mountain and the new route to Constantia neck are not free. You require an activity permit. You can have 3 other members on your permit which works out to around R300 a person for a years access. Each gets their own card. Dont be an ar$e...get a permit if you're planning to ride these.
