Spanners needed

Does anyone know how much a spanner for external bearings cost? And where can I buy one?

 

I have a set of Shimano Ultegra pedals which I want to service. Do LBS's stock spanners to remove the plastic nut that hold the axle in or must I rather use my waterpump plier to loosen the nut?

Are the nuts both lefthand thread or is the left pedal a righthand thread?

I ordered that plastic tool for servicing the pedals from Cajees a few years ago and it was no problem getting it! Also bought a Pedros external BB spanner from them and I don't recall it being that expensive ......
