CS400 download problem

After the theft of my Polar S725x, I managed to get hold of a CS400. But it doesn't download to my Polar ProTrainer 5 software. It starts the download, but then aborts it without completing it. Is there a separate software for the CS400? Where do I get it? Is there a site I can download from? (No luck on the Polar site) Other advice?

Hi yang, I have a polar CS400 which I download to Polar pro-trainer 5 with no issues.  Presumably you're using a USB infrared port?  Do you get an error message?

You can't use the N2965 with the CS400. I had the same problem and had to buy a new IR adapter.

Thanks Nancy- that gives me some hope that its a repairable problem, but I've just downloaded again and the message is along these lines:

 

Polar.exe 32 has encountered a problem and needs to close.... bla bla... you will lose information bla bla.

 

I use a laptop with a built in infrared port, no external USB connection. I had no problems with the S725x download.

I think there is a bug in the latest Protrainer 5. I updated mine recently and Polar32 encounters a problem just like yours now. The old V4 software is still running smoothly....
