I spoke to Marin USA (went on the website, found a number, and called with skype) and they mentioned a Jo'burg based shop who are the SA approved importer/distributor. Seems that the Dollar / Rand rate meant that there was not much product actually in SA- not listed on the Marin site anymore, i forget the shop name... sorry

West Rand Cycles used to stock them, to my knowledge they still do.

I spoke to him last week and he confirmed that he still brings them in on special order. I enquired about a new Marin Mount Vision 5.9 which is the replacement for what used to be the Marin Mount Vision Pro.

I am thinking of replacing my current 4 year old Mount Vision Pro.

 

By the way I have had 3 full suspension  Marins and one Marin hardtail over the years and think that they are fantastic bikes. I wouldn't go for anything else.

Don't be surprised when you go to Westrand Cycles. They're not closed, just around the corner. They are rebuilding their shop.

So turn right out of Ontdekkers don't turn immediately right at the cafe just carry on down the road for 50m. They're on your right.
