Leaking shock @ post mount

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

 

 

 

I was changing my brake pads on the weekend and when I removed the front calliper air started escaping from the top post mount (I wanted to post a pic, but my pic posting authority seems to have been revoked ). The point where the calliper bolts to the fork. The shock is only about 10 months and came as a stock shock on a new bike.

 

 

 

I can only assume that this air is coming from the shock, I just have no idea how it would get there, other than through a crack or defect in the shock itself.

Air and limited fluid was leaking when the bolt ringed in red was removed.
