Bought them from a friend. Got them about 2 weeks ago. He had them for about 6 months.

I would really like to try this night riding thing but don't want to get injured due to insufficient lighting ....

You are looking at close to R3000 for them. You do not need that much light. Guys riding with us had lights that they paid R300 for and it works great.

Do you have a recommeded one in the R300-R500 range?  That's for the interim at least.
