How do I determine the correct chain lenght for a full suspension MTB?

I saw an article that says the correct lenght is if you take the chain around the biggest cog at the fron and back plus 2 links.......

Now my question is what about the lenght that is taken up by the jockey?  Surely the above method is not right?Confused

I take the chain around the big cog front and back through the jockey and make sure the jockey is in its extreme "stretched position"......

Any advice from the Hubbers out there?

That is one hundred percent right. You NEVER ride the when the chain in on the biggest back and biggest front rings so there you already save a bit of length. Remember you have make way for the suspension travel. I dropped my suspension by about 30% as that is how much it sags when I ride normally.
