Pappa Bear Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hi Hubers, Wonder if anybody ccan help me with the following: I want to convert my bike to a thru-axle at the back - currently have a standard quick release setup.... 1) I know that I will need a thru axle hub at the back....does it need to be 9mm or 10mm - What is the standard size for a MTB at the back......?2) Is there any difference between the dropouts / frames that can accept a thru axle and a standard quick release frame?3) Where can I get an aftermarket axle (9mm or 10mm)? I guess CRC... Thanx
DownhillGuru Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I think you're going to have a problem with the dropouts on your existing QR frame.Maybe hillbilly could shed some light on this subject?
