Weight Saving - XTR Cassette.

I

I bought a 'kit of parts' for mine, that came with an SRAM 970 Cassette, that weighs in at a hefty 410g (11-34), XT weighs in at 256g (11-32) and XTR at 224g.

So, changing from SRAM 970 to XTR cassette saves approx. 186g.

I guess you can save another 200g on the Crankset

Therfore approaching 400g weight saving for the two!

I'm hoping to have mine (29er) complete by the end of next week or early the following week. My target weight will be Sub 11kg and in all probability closer to 10kg.

So done some research and my current Deore cassette weighs 358g, where a SLX cassette weighs 282g. And CRC have them for R493. So might be looking at this option if someone else is buying from CRC as well! Will it be compatable with my Deore LX front and rear derailleur?
