I bought a RXC last year and I was interested in the Q920...last year it cost R7500.....R4k...eina...

The Felts are excellent bikes...can't really say about the Q920, but I would take the advice of one bike mechanic who said...."....for a bike less than R20k, don't bother about the frame/manufacturer.....consider the kit the bike comes with...."....

not sure if that is of any help...

i agree with what you say about the kit! but therein lies the problem, i currently have a FUJI TAHOE COMP and the components on the Felt are about the same, both have Shimano Deore rapidfire shifters etc

the Felt has Mavic rims where the Fuji has Alex rims

Rear D is a XT shadow on the Felt and a SLX on the Fuji

felt has a REcon SL Solo air shock where the Fuji has a SUUNtour shock but has a Remote lockout feature that the Felt doesnt have.

I have heard that the Felt is an excellent bike and is really light

but im not sure if its worth the "upgrade"

Ok....that's some nice "donor" kit on the Felt. The recon air shock is a big step up from the suntour. It very responsive and soaks up bumps very nicely. The Mavic rims are the XM117 if AFAIK and these are Mavic's entry level rim and not many people have issues with these (once again...don't take my word for it)....my GF's bike has the XT shadow RD and it really is smooth-n-quite on the shifts....

The Q series is Felts 'sport' bike....frame basically serves from entry level to the Q920...and is described as the 'all mountain HT' of Felt.

Its a good bike....but then, I am a Felt fan...
