I am about to build my first Lefty wheel and have some questions for (observant) Lefty Owners. I'm using a Lefty Cannondale hub. I'll appreciate some info.

1) Is the rim centred between the two flanges of the hub or is there an offset to cater for the brake disc?

2) Is your wheel built 3X both sides?

3) Most important question: Does anyone have a lefty wheelbuild adapter that I could borrow? This adapter is the one that will make the hub fit in a standard wheelstand.

If you get no.3 right all will be answered. Also as a wheel guru you should know that building a disc wheel with anything less than 3x on both sides is not reccomended...

Well, 4X is possible with large flange hubs and it is not unusual to have different crosses on either side of an non-symmetrical hub. This particular hub has a 10mm difference in R and L flanges.

Nevertheless, perhaps you'd like to explain why a 2X or indeed, 1X will not work for a hub-braked wheel?

I also don't see how answering No 3 will have my other questions fall in place.

Gaan kyk hier.....

Thanks a million. I'll come around then.  Shall I just ask the receptionist if 101SC is in?  Rhetoric question...answer via PM or such.
