OK - let us all respect the law and allow the police to do there job without use hampering the credibility of their investigation.

now what is the story? How did you catch the guy?

Firstly, I am very thankful for the amount of people who noticed the bike and forwarded the details about the bike been spotted.

He went to a Bike shop and a bike mechanic trading on a flea market.

He first stated he wanted spares for the bike. The bike shops did not have what he was looking for( The left STI). On leaving he asked about selling the bike, he did not get a good response. The Bike shops noticed the bike was too big for he guy.

The bike shop did a internet query on my bike model, (google, KUOTA) which showed my whole story.

At the same time I had covered most shopping centres and Police stations, notice boards. Giving a full run down on my bike specs with a picture.

As a colleague of buyer,(second person) works for Prison Services had knowledge that friend had just got a bike. Saw my notice on the Police Station notice board and took the courtesy of telling his friend that the bike was Trouble, get rid of it. He then offered it to someone else(third guy) who also looked up on the internet.

At this stage I had received details from all parties and started to do my own investigation.

I went to the Second guys house with Police escourt, got the NO story. No we do not know anything, no there is no bike here.

Two days later the Police phoned me to come and collect my bicycle, as the Second man had taken it to the Police Station and handed it in.

All is well, Good ending.
