How to size a mountain bike

Hi everyone, my bike was donated to the RDP a while back and I am looking to get another. I just need to know how to size it correctly, my last one was an XL (giant alias) but I was never sure if it was the correct size for me, I am 6'2 and weigh 100kg's, how do I size one correctly?

If you are happy with what you had then try and find out what the virtual top tube was and get another of the same. Don't bother with s,m or large or even the inches.
