mrbaker Posted September 10, 2009 Share This is a statement taken from Bikeradar.com's review on the GT avalanche pro... Now here's an oddity, a cross-country race bike that has evolved into a hard-hitting all mountain hardtail. The Avalanche Pro wasn't designed from the outset for extreme XC, but has gradually morphed into a long travel machine built for high speed technical trails. They say it is deisgned for a long travel fork of max. 130mmThe guys at the bike shop were shocked when they read the review, they hadn't heard of another bike with the same specs... So at least I don't have to worry about anything breaking. And SteveS will be happy nothing is going to change - all records are made to be broken Thanks to everyone for their opinions & advice!!
