Bike transporting?

I'm planning on flying up to do the 94.7

 

Do any of you guys have a specific airline you prefer taking when it comes to transporting of your bike? Which airline/s has additional charges for it?

SAA is free on "1000; 7000; 8000 series" flights.

You have interpreted the paragraph correctly. The bicycle must not exceed 20kg. You will still be allowed the 23kg of baggage.

Im flying  with mango. Paid R135  for my bicycle .

BA is going to start charging extra for bicycles as from 9 October or thereabouts.

For the Argus I only bought a ticket just before the race this year with Mango I paid R100 extra for my bike (Return) but waited 2 days after got back to recieve the bike
