Is there a way to export a garmin file to say word or excel to be viewed by someone not using the Garmin software?

Or is the only way to display it and do a screenprint and the paste it in paint?

Thanks

There're a few ways you could approach it. I assume you're using the file in the Edge's history folder and not the file from Training Centre?

1.) Get SportTracks software. Do this anyway, ST is miles ahead of Garmin's software.

1a.) Use the CSV export plugin for SportTracks to export a file that you can read in Excel. The disadvantage it that you lose the raw data (ST does some smoothing).

2.) Use Excel's .xml import to import the .tcx file directly into Excel. I can't remember the exact settings to use, but you'll end up with a worksheet with lots of columns, the rightmost of which contain the raw data.

3.) I think there is also a .tcx to .csv converter program around somewhere, but I couldn't download it last time I tried
