Anything with batteries find a way to break and die on you when needed most. Will let "them" develop it more and do some more trail and testing. Meanwhile I'll stick to my cable shifters. splat Posted September 23, 2009 Share At the moment, Shimano is saying that they arent persuing a production electric mtb groupset as $900.00 for the rear mech is a bit heavy going for something that gets that much mud, water and general abuse.
