fitting my alligator derailleur cables

could someone please tell me where the ferreul with the long point goes ???  do the ones without the point go in at the trigger shifters ???

Ones without the points go at trigger shifter/cable and derailler/cable interface.

 

Ones with points are anywhere in between.

 

Advise - don't cut the outer to short like i did! mines about 3mm to short and now squeaks.

oh yes what i did learn was that cutting the cable sleve with a wire cutter was a problem but a small angle grinder did the trick !!!

 

all sorted and set ready to hit the dirt tomorrow !!!!
