Does anyone know where one can get a set of suspension bearings for a Anthem?

Take a look at the numbers on the seals and pop down to your local bearing supplier.

now a different question. How much is a bearing press and is it worth getting one to do this job?

pop the bearings in the freezer, and warm up the frame with a hairdryer, and they should just pop in.

I bought he same set at Highveld Garage Eq in Pretoria (012-330-0540) for

R 1354,30 incl VAT.

 

First time round I "tapped"the bearings out, but that is not so elegant & you need to strip the bike right down.

 

To insert I use strong bolts & washers & sometimes the old bearings to pull (push?) the new ones in completly.

 

If you're mechanically competent it is a fun job. But if you damage any of the linkages it can be quite an expensive excersice.

I got the bearings numbers from somewhere on the net but haven't verified them yet:

4 x 6902 2RS (rubber seals both sides)

2 x 6900 2RS

2 X 688   2RS
