    I have done the last three 36one's on a Canondale flash running 1x10 (32-11-42), and never felt that I have ran out of gears. (maybe I dont pedal fast enough to run out of gears) For me the deciding factor is weight (or the lack thereof)

    Are you completely fat adapted? How do you find it affects your high intensity shorted type races (<80kms)?

    This whole Keto movement is very interesting, especially in endurance racing! I have been playing around with my diet a little with regards to low carb, and I definitely feel I have more sustained energy. If I am not mistaken, Mike Woolnough is very pro low carb!

    Just to confirm, 9spd Xt medium cage RD with a 10spd MTB cassette, and Shimano STI shifters work perfectly together. My new bike is shifting like a dream!
