I don't really ride with them - stay too far away. There are quite a  few hubbers riding with the groups starting there/then.

There are two distances covered, and the longer rides start first (they tend to be faster), and then the shorter rides start afterwards (all very informal)

The last bunch leaving is referred to as the 'social bunch', they go short and slow.

Check the first page of that other thread you posted in for some more specific details from the southeners.

if it is not raining there should be cyclists there.

Just rock up there, and ask the people present.

Everybody welcome, no secret handshakes etc needed.

Unless you are greater than an undisclosed number of kilometres in radius from Xumbugs. Then Slave and Indigo Kid require passports, visas and bribes, all which require vast sums of US$ which they use to fund their cycling addiction. Last I heard the Kid was putting the money towards a Prince. LOL

Let's see, there is a whole bunch of cyclists that leave from Xumbugs at 07h00 on Sat and Sunday mornings. Then there are a couple of loonies that cycle form the same place and even frequent the hub.

Trubie, Indigo Kid, Greyowl (version 2 point OH), ShawnA, and Wonder woman, Tyx1 and many others.

Andy, Fortunately for Kieran, he is well within the undisclosed prescribed minum radius and so has permanent residence staus thus not required to have a visa.

Visas are only required by people outside of the undisclosed radius since we need to hire body guards to protect us from you northern riff raff.

Non refundable of course and renewable until honorary residence status has been established. You and Ox now qualify for this (I think. Just check in with Kid first.) Nancy Drew also has lifetime "souf status" and welcome anytime.

Sometimes we arrange "special rides" which do not include the usual suspects from Xumbugs and this is by invitation only.

Andy seems to think that the SBR is the only place to ride so frequently suggests SBR rides. At east one a weekend. (kid. psst, maybe we are not sqeezing hard enough, the boy still has money to come and ride the reserve too often. Maybe we need to up his fees.)

Seriously, the big ASGR thread started out much like yours and is now frequently visited by our some of our northern friends.

Agteros, Nance Drew and a few others.

Check it out for some out of the ordinary southern rides. otherwise just get yourself and bike to Xumbugs every Saturday and Sunday.

We do need to meet you though, just so we know you are not some spy or some junk.

We'll look out for you on the other thread.Wink

Thanks for the provisional honoury residence status!

Kieran, once you ride at SBR then you will see what a great place it is to ride at! Get Indigo Kid to show you round there.

Trubie and Andy are Trekkers.

I ride a retro Petini. Owl rides a retro Eddie Mercx (red one) sometimes. Most time he just confuses us because you never know what he wil show up on.

Kid has a white Slverback. Nance rides a red Scott and Oxman rides a black scott.
