I ride parklands to belville (sanlam) everyday.

But sorry i only leave at 6.30.

I go up plattekloof, hendrik vervoet (or straight across N1) and then that road that runs past the hospital, across durban road and down to work.

Tried going via tickidri a couple of times, but it is about 5-6Km longer.

I dont mind the hill, but the extra accumilated mileage kills me afterwards.

Especially since I am still racing on the weekends and DC training.

I am currently doing maybe 1500 a month, so for myself I am bordering on overtraining.

But I am always looking for riding buddies though.

little hill at Didata

Not actually that little.

I do feel it on my road bike.

It is actually longer than you think it is because it goes quite steep in the beginning and then it flattens out a bit.

So in your mind it is almost finished, but it has actually only started because then you carry on climbing up to the old di data building where it flattens a bit, but then it climbs once more before the top.

Haha.

Actually I normally try to take my midweek rides easy as my legs are generally always tired from the last race and just too much riding.

But when I see another cyclist on the road all the pain normally disapears and a bit of ego kicks in and you end up riding harder than you want to.

The same thing happens when I am approaching a robot and if I think I can make it through without having to stop then I end up giving it balls. Dead

Flip I hate doing that.

(which probably explains why my legs are always tired)

So when I saw you this morning, I was just chilling, but remember that I am doing the same work at 30 that you are doing at 25.

So when I came past you this morning, I just easily lifted my pace to over 30 and I knew that if you tried to keep with me, unless you were super strong, that speed would be enough to make you back down. Clap

I dont know I recon all cyclists are the same LOL

At least you admit to it.....:-) If you told me you were just warming up, I would have had to sell/give my bike away tonight
