Mavic Cosmic Carbon vs Mavic SL Premium??

I am looking to buy new race rims...

 

thinking if I should go with the Mavic Cosmic SSC Carbons or the Mavic SL Premiums.

 

The Carbon's seem be 500g heavier than the SL's....

 

I will most likely do some training and racing on the same wheels?

 

Any suggestions or advice welcome?
