Which Casette - SLX or SRAM PG980

I'm upgrading to 9spd, but don't know which casette to go for.

 

The Shimano SLX or the SRAM PG980? Both same price on crc.

 

 

 

Also, is the SLX casette so much better than the normal Shimano Deore casette (R120 cheaper)?

SLX is lighter for one than the deore. I believe a little stronger aswell as they use a different compound aluminum, but how effective it will for the type of riding we do i dunno ?

Just did the same upgrade on my bike & decided to rather go with SLX option. Order is taking forever to arrive at the PO BOX

went for the PG980 off CRC...but then again I run SRAM RD..

 

sweet stuff....PG990 stuff...without the bling....and the price of course...
