It explains that horrendous squeaking noise I been experiencing.

Some one mentioned disk brake cleaner that you can buy at car spares shops.  Would it work?

 

Yeah it will work, jut costs alot more than isopropyl alcohol. Get it from the chemist, costs about 40ZARS for large glass bottle full and works a treat.

 

Then just give the pads a good run in down a hill and you should be good to go
