Hey guys, anybody up for a ride this Sat and/or Sunday in PE...As little tar as possible please.

I am looking to TRY do around 50 to 60 km or so

 

Please let me know. I am from PE originally, but new to MTB there...I know the Baakens has some good stuff, but isn't it lekker dodgey with bergies and stuff?

Best mtb routes in PE are Woodridge and Sunnyvale/Thornhill (both XC), and if you are looking for longer marathon type routes, Longmore will be your best bet.

 

A lot of PE mtb'ers are going to be in Steytlerville for the Karoo Cycling Bazaar this weekend, and next weekend most will be at St.Fracis Mtb Challenge.

Just gonna be in PE this weekend then the weekend of 10 September too.

 

Gonna try train for Karoo to Coast, but also wanna have some fun, so not do just plain gravel roads.

Where is the Woodridge track? Do I go in the school gate?

Yes it is through the school gate, phone Billy Teeton at 083 659 3903, he lives on the school terrain and will set you up with a day permit or even a year permit. Year permit is R100 for both Woodridge and Thornhill XC courses.

 

You will really enjoy these XC courses, it's about the only place I train on weekends.
