Sperske Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Has anyone done mtb'ing in Thailand? I would like to get some tips if possible... I'm also keen on buying a bike if price is worth it, but am not sure about taxes and/or any other difficulties when bringing it back to SA?

cyclenut Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Bike prices are not much cheaper ... anything imported has heavy taxes. The Astana Trek (RB) was R110k against R80k here. There are a number of tours - just use google, you need to book early. You're biggest enemy will be the humidity.
