Just moved to Hout Bay, are there any trail rides starting in the area?

Only Karbonkelberg behind the Harbour, they have a trail review in the latest Tread magazine.

 

You can also ride the dirt road that runs to the top of Constantia Nek.

If driving down Constantia nek towards Hout Bay you'll see the dirt road on your left just after Silvermist. This pops you out on Blue Valley Road near the Oakhurst Spar.

and if you want to head up into silvermine and tokai, just ride over chappies, turn left just after the farm village and you'll end up at the bottom of the wagon trail, which will take you up into silvermine
