I had a very similar challange with my Shim M485 hyd discs..eventually they were replaced under warrenty and that solved the problem. Hope that you dont have to go to this extent.

Otherwise..how is your 120 going ? I have one in my sights for later this year..
Enjoying it! It's my first MTB so I am a complete novice on that front. Still trying to work out how & wehn to use all the gadgets like lockouts and rebound adjusters etc.

One thing I will say is that it is much heavier than what I'm used to.

sorry communication error on my part. Was it the same make and model rotor but different size.

worked on a few shimano brakes where we experienced same problem. Ended up fitting better quality rotors, solved the problem.

Google m486 brakes and scroll down,  click on the mtbr link, there are a few comments on your brakes.

Had disks on a Mazda vibrate once. Used Copper(slip) Grease between the pads and the caliper. Vibration caused by what I think was resonance was gone. Try the same. Just be carefull not to contaminate your pads. Use very thinly and sparingly. Bent axles can also cause vinration. Using another wheel must have negated this. ya sure the wheels are clamped correctly in the dropouts. I normally fit the wheel on my workstand, then place the bike on the ground and loosen the skewer. Let the axle settle in the dropout and then tighten.
