MTB Slick Tyres Tubeless ?

I will be using my MTB to do the Argus this year.

It has a tubeless conversion with Maxxis Larsn MIMO tyres.

I was thinking of installing slicks for the race, and my question is:

 

Should ( can) I convert the slick tyres to tubeless ? or should I revert to tyre/tubes

Not worth the hassle, go tubes.

I have tried this - it was really hit and miss and needed constant pressure, waste of bombs and solution - eventually put tubes back in.
