Treadmill Advice

I have/had a Trojan Solitude Treadmill, yes perhaps not the best but does the job.

 

I have had it for the past 4 years  but two weeks ago I broke the running board, so its decision time. Repair or Replace.

 

I run on a daily basis  5-15KM and now with it getting darker I will be spending more time on the treadmill.

 

A new running board is R1200, the call out fee is R450.00.

 

I have been told to look at something a little more powerfull, perhaps a 3hp motor.

 

Anybody "been there done that" and have some wisdom to share?

My wife is a bit on the heavy side but just under the limit . Not so sure about your model but mine has 3hp peak motor.

 

She used daily for 45minutes until a month back when she found out she is pregnant. In that time never an issue and still going strong.

 

At R2K its still worth it as the replacement cost is R8K now.
