Northern Farm Price Increase

Just a heads up to make sure you have enough cash on you when you purchase your entry tickets....

As you are all aware, the past few months have had some interesting challenges for Northern Farm and the NFRUG committee. In particular the security breaches on the farm have jeopardised the safe use of the farm for all recreational users, but cyclists in particular.

We responded to the challenge vigorously and believe that the steps put in place have reinstated our status as a safe venue for all users, these steps remain in place:

1.     Three patrols on bicycles of two men each patrolling the perimeter road where it runs parallel to the outside road and where the highway runs next to the farm.

2.     An armed guard from Mapogo, also patrolling the perimeter road, but in a vehicle.

 

3.     A stationary guard at the back gate.

 

4.     A roving car guard in the car park.

 

The additional cost of these measures has been substantial and , as we have not had an increase in some time, we have no alternative but to increase the entry fees to R30 for a single entry and R300 for a season ticket of twenty entries.

Equestrian tickets  increase to R60 for a single entry and R600 for a season ticket."

I've still got my multi entry ticket I payed R120 for. But it is still great value. I just think now people will not just have other people enter on their ticket anymore.

So what now? The price of entry goes up, which is only fair, all things considered. And the very recent post here that the farm is under threat. All farming activities to be suspended etc?

 

Are we going to loose the farm?

I've also got my old one and agree - R30 per entry is still a good deal.
