He was on a MTB trail near Durbanville where he was showing German rider Mike Kluge ( ex cyclo cross world champion ) some of the new trails in the area . Willie hit a small 3 ton truck head on while going round a fast sweep leading into the farm area. The truck was on the wrong side of the rode , driver was blinded by the early morning sun and never saw the two of them comming down. Willie was taken to hospital for xrays , where it was confirmed that he had not damaged his fragile left leg again .
