Emdee96 Posted August 10, 2010 Share I have learnt to open my mouth with 'I have a MTB' - that saves a lot of hardship and confusion when you lead onto the question of, I would like to be able to measure my power for around or under R3 000 and it must work as a stationary solution, so no virtual or wind activated devices please. Any ideas ? If 3k is laughable and you have something else in mind - any entry level solution will do for now - I am all ears.
tristansandwith Posted August 10, 2010 Share I have an Indoor trainer... Tacx Flow that measures power at the wheel. It isnt a perfectly true measurement as it is done through the magnetic roller but its probably pretty close. Have a look around and see what the go for these days! Good luck! That is your best value bet. Really only need power msurement when doing intervals anyway. Otherwise, you are looking at 10k plus. Polar option does not look worth while to me.
