Hi Berry,

The most accurate bikeset up program available today is ErgoFiT.

go to www.sciencetosport.com for more info on ErgoFiT. Email: info@sciencetosport.com to find out your nearest certified ErgoFiT Fitment Centre in your area.

ErgoFiT:

Ergofit is a scientifically developed cycle fitting product.

Unlike other products which use static measurements of body proportions, Ergofit incorporates dynamic values such as flexibility and neuromuscular efficiency to accurately predict optimal bike fit.

Ergofit has been developed by using advanced regression algorithms to evaluate which factors influence bike fit. Through these techniques, we can predict measurements such as saddle height with extreme accuracy, developing high correlation co-efficients for biological systems.

Ergofit measurements can be taken at your local bicycle retailer by staff that have been trained by Science to Sport. A PDF report with your optimised bike measurements will be generated and available in seconds.

entering these online, the system generates a PDF report in seconds.

There was a clip on a duesouth xterra episode last week which mentioned bike setup.

3 key factors

1. you want your seat to be high enough that at the bottom of the pedal stroke there is a bend in your knee, apparently 27 degrees.

2. You want the angle between your torso and your arms to be 90 degress when fully extended on the bars. for a road bike, i think you must be on the hoods

3. if you drop a plumb line from your knee when in the 3 and 0 oclock position, the weight at the bottom should appear as if it goes through the pedals axle

hope this help
