Buffelspoort. Any tracks?

I'm going to Omaramba this weekend (across Buffelspoort dam).

 

Is it worthwhile to take my mtb along and find some tracks to ride? Is it safe?

 

Can I do breedsnek on my own?

 

Any advice?

Hi, I ride breedsnek quite often. I have also ridden on the other side near the Dam. There are tons of tracks and they are really good. As far as saftey goes i doubt anyone would be waiting specifically to Hi Jack you. But you know how things are, it is always good to err on the safe side. Pm RobRider he has a few tracks that he can suggest and maybe email you.

I used to do breedsnek on my own quite often - and planning to do it again few times this summer, so unless I missed something it should be fine. Can also try out some riding in Mountain Sanctuary Park, I know there are trails, cause buffelspoort Xterra goes through there every year. Don't know too much about route markings, access etc. though.

 

Bottom line - Take your bike with, ALLWAYS

Its part of the Xterra and Monster route so go and explore, start by the dam side and there is a route that goes towards that new houses but then I think ur gonna hit farmgates, there is a dirt Road that takes u to Breedts. So in short nice riding and if you get hot jump in the dam-it's one of the cleanest.
