I'm looking for some anodized spokes. Where is the best place to get them (Cape Town preferably, but happy to pay for shipping from the rest of the country), and can they do customised lengths ? I need them to be 260mm.

Cheers :)

Why anodized spokes..... why?????..... and if you really need them in what colour would they have to be. Modern spokes are make of stainless steel and does not need added protection.

Spokes are generally made from stainless steel, which cannot be anodised.

Further, anodising is an inappropriate coating for something undergoing tensile stresses, so it won't last long.

Thirdly, now with black being the new black on the spoke fashion-ramp, bike shops find it difficult to stock all the lengths and butts and flats etc etc in two colours, nevermind rainbow colours. Forget it. Silver is cool.

Thanks for the replies guys.

To answer the "Why?" question ..... well .... just because I want to pimp my ride essentially. It's purely aesthetic ;)

It's not about the finish lasting long, it's just about doing it I suppose.
