You have to be kidding, All the riders are on Drugs? Lance won 7 tours on Drugs - where is the proof, what a cynic. I suppose I shouldnt be rising to the bait. Just support the sport and trust that the majority of the riders are drug free, without that trust you may as well hang your bike up and take up curling.

Not sure who these people are that you mention.  Certainly both Procycling and Cycle Sport commented last month about how little Discovery and Lance had done for the sport.  In any case, it is not relevant to the point being made.  The other riders signed the declaration - Bettini did not.  As for Mcquaid, seems he is trying to avoid a lawsuit.  Shows the weakness of the UCI and their inability to manage the sport with the vigour required.

There is definately suspicion around Bettini because he doesnt want to sign the agreement. But there are also riders who signed and then tested positive (Vino. Kishikin. Moreni)

 

McQuaid is just like our own administrators, covering his own ass.

agree with you, linnega. lance and discovery raised the profile of the sport mainly in american, where they didn't consider it a sport. wonder if lance would've signed the document?

 

you're also right about mcquaid. bettini has made it known that he is suing stuttgart. he made quite a gesture - as if holding a rifle - when he crossed the finish line, and then again later in the winner's ceremony.
