I am going on holiday to Pearly beach from 22dec - 2nd Jan.

 

Pm me if you want to join in for mtb rides. I'm training for epic and will put a calender together for thos whos close.

Will be in Hermanus during that period. Keen to check out the rides towards Gansbaai. Will also do the monster climb over the mountain into Salmonsdam reserve 20km inland from Stanford (The Epic crossed over there about 3 or 4 years ago).

Im in Gansbaai from christmas untill new year. Me and a buddy are keen to join for a ride or 2. What distances are you lookig at and waht speed do you do. We dont know the area at all.

I know that there runs a few dirt roads close to pearly beach. I will scout them on my bike to maybe setup a kind of "map". I need to do 3-4 hours. But one or 2 days will have to smash it up to 5-6 hours. Not looking fwd especially but company wil work!

 

I'm also happy to go out to hermanus for one big ride!! lets keep this thing going,

oja. speed. look, its lsd rides so thinking about keeping it going rather that pumping the pace. Will guess gravel average will be 16-22km/hour? Not sure wether there will be massive climbs. So hard to say.

We will do the Salmonsdam reserve ride for sure. It will push the hr up though, then there is the great ride up the mountain behind Hermanus all the way to behind Voelklip and back, the great ride into the Hemel and Aarde valley and beyond, the .....Even tried the Oak valley and various other trails near Grabouw? Endless singlerack boys! See you there.
