Yes yes yes, I assume this has been discussed, but

Firstly, the white fork would have looked better on the X1.

Then also, even if the X1 was the one I wanted, can it really be worth it?

Not sure what the price diff will be, but the real advantage for me would only be XT wheels.

Is the Fox float 23 rear shock that much better than the 2 for the average user?

Any comments will really be much appreciated.

If you look at the difference in price between the two bikes and I think it is about 12k then in my personal opinion the X2 is a good buy. You can always buy a new shock and wheels when you convert from an average to a good rider :P When you are ready spoil yourself with a set of decent wheels as they do make a difference.ZTR's for example

Frames are exactly the same just different colour. I have an Anthem X2 with XT grouppo and I am very happy.

Hopefully welcome you to The Giant Team!!

Difference in price between the X1 and X2(including tubeless conversion-Stans) is R 5000.

Less than expected.

So for 5000 you get XT wheels and better shock.

And XT brakes vs Avid Elixir R (I kinda like the Avid)

What to do ............ ?

And both look equally cool to me.
