Pinarello is now the proud sponsor of Giro d’Italia!!

 

Pinarello becomes Official Sponsor of the sports event by signing a 3-year contract (and will be Rcs Sport partner at all 2011 bicycle events), and dedicates one bike – black and pink, of course – to the event. At the Turin theatre a preview of the Official 2010 Tou...r of Italy Bicycle will be presented, the “Giro d’Italia special edition” Dogma bike, in black, as a due homage to Giovanni “Nani” Pinarello’s Black Jersey, with minor details in pink, the classic Tour colour.

 

The story of the Treviso company is closely linked to the Tour of Italy: the great fortune of Pinarello came about in 1952 when Giovanni had to hand over to the emerging Pasqualino Fornara during the famous race. His handover was indemnified by the Bottecchia sport club with 100,000 Lire, used by Giovanni to open his first store in Treviso.
